The internship
The internship is a great opportunity to get an insight into the profession and the firm. In just 4 or 5 days, the studen gains some basic training and an insight into the profession. Fear of the new is a thing of the past. The relaxed nature of the internship allows you to introduce yourself to the company. Basically, the internship is an early job interview.
Working as an industrial mechanic specialising in precision engineering is a very diverse and broad career path. Therefore, where one is introduced to the profession is vital. P&S Maschinenbau are active in the field of precision mechanics. This is where delicate, precise components for special machines are made. The term special machine means that this machine is manufactured in small quantities for a specific application.
Working hours
daily from 8:00 am to 16:00 pm, may vary depending on transport.

Academic Requirements
None for the internship
The following requirements apply for further training:
Secondary school: Average grade in core subjects 2.0
High school: Average grade in core subjects 2.5
Personal Requirements
Craftsmanship, technical understanding and a passion for accuracy.
A large part of this profession is CNC technology. The CNC machines are programmed using
different machine languages. Computer skills are therefore
imperative.
Further Apprenticeship Process:
1st year of training
Filing, drilling, tapping, testing, measuring
Marking, graining, marking
Maintenance of machines
Sawing with the associated materials science
Occupational safety and environmental protection
2nd year of training
Machining; drilling, turning and milling on conventional machines
Planning and preparation of work processes based on technical drawings
Surface grinding
Soldering and heat treatment
Grinding on the trestle
3rd year of training
Programming CNC machines
Machining workpieces on CNC machines
Assembling and dissassembling machines, systems or their units
Checking and setting functions
Setting up and testing hydraulic and pneumatic controls
